Program and Refund Policy

Age

​

• Age 2y and Under: please sign up for Preschool Prep Summer or Grownup & Me Mandarin (More Details Coming Soon!) 

• Ages 3y - 5y Group: Children need to be 3y of age by June 1st, 2019 or currently enrolled in Ya-Ya Immersion Spring 2019 program to register for this group. 

• Age 6y - 8y Group: Children need to be 6y of age by June 1st, 2019 to register for this group.

Registration Timeline

​

• Current Ya-Ya Immersion Program and After School students will have early access to registration between 2/26/2019-3/3/2019.

• Registration will open to the public on 3/4/2019. Non-current students who sign up before 3/4/2019 cannot be confirmed until 3/4/2019. 

• Tuition amount includes all lesson materials but does not include snacks or meals. Children need to pack nut-free snacks, lunch and water bottles from home.

Program

​

• Full immersion environment for Mandarin learners of all levels. Mixed-age class with large group and small group learning opportunities. Small groups meet the needs of different ages and different Mandarin proficiency levels. Small groups will also target different learning goals such as simplified or traditional Chinese.

• Full day program includes extracurricular activities and/or field trips. Full Day program is highly recommended for a complete learning experience for older children. Age 3-5 group will only participate in field trips around the Tribeca neighborhood (walking in the neighborhood in a ratio of 1:2, one grownup with two students). Age 6-8 group may visit museums and sites by walking or short subway ride, under the ratio of 1:4, one grownup with no more than four students.

Refund and Cancellation

​

• Registration must be paid in full. Mandarin Seeds does not hold spot(s); spots for the summer immersion program are first-come-first-served.

• Switching weeks may be possible if there is availability. You are allowed one transfer at no cost but all subsequent transfers will incur a $25 fee for each week switched. Please email your requests to info@mandarinseeds.com before 5/24/2019. We won’t be able to accommodate switching weeks after 5/24/2019.

• Written requests for refunds must be emailed to info@mandarinseeds.com before 5/24/2019. $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the tuition for each cancelled week. No refunds will be issued after 5/24/2019. 

• Cancellation fees cannot be refunded, credited or applied to other registrations with Mandarin Seeds.

• There are no make-up classes for missed classes. In the case of class cancellation(s) made by Mandarin Seeds due to unpredictable circumstances, pro-rated refunds will be issued.
