Career Week: Publishing House

Ever wonder what it takes to publish something? From magazines, illustrations to little storybooks, it takes a team to publish a single title. From authors to editors, illustrators to publishing agents. We are going to learn how to print and bind books and eventually share our works to the readers!

Week Two 7/1 - 7/5 (No class on 7/4)

Career Week: My Small Business

For this week the class will open a small business guided by the teachers. Children will learn the steps to plan and run small businesses. All the products in the shop will be created by the children. From pottery to jewelry, you name it! Everything will be done in house, from planning to marketing to the best customer service!

Week Three 7/8 - 7/12

Around the World: Amazing Spain

Spain has so much to offer travelers. There will be music and dance and things waiting for us to explore in the market and festivals. Children will learn to make tapas with fresh vegetables. During this week we will also learn about the artistic heritage as well as the historic monuments in different parts of Spain. Who's ready for the adventure?

Week Four 7/15 - 7/19

Around the World: The Wonders of Thailand

Known for it's spices and colors, Thailand is where we are exploring this week. Experience the hustle and bustle in Bangkok, but also the beautiful river and mountains of the countryside. Children are going to get a taste of some delicious flavors and make this an unforgettable week.

Week Five 7/22 - 7/26

Fairytale Week: Aesop's Fables

Aesop's Fables teaches many little life lessons and morals through fun animal characters and short stories. This week we will study a short story in depth. We will study the characters, make puppets and storyboards for the story. We can't wait to share these classic tales with the children!

Week Six 7/29 - 8/2

Fairytale Week: Grimms' Fairy Tales for Children

Grimms' Fairy Tales are some of the most popular translations in Mandarin for young children. Different versions cater to different age-groups. However the adventures are enjoyed by both young and old. We are ready to transform our classroom into a fantasy forest!
