Mandarin Immersion Teacher
Seeking a creative and energetic teacher to join our teaching team! An ideal candidate is able to connect and work with children in early childhood years from birth up to age 8, and shares our child-centered teaching philosophy, which respects different learning styles and the diverse backgrounds of our students. Play is work for a child! A successful teacher will create a playful and positive full-immersion learning environment for the children to discover joy in learning Mandarin.
Job duties may include but not limited to teaching group lessons, creating lesson plans, designing age-appropriate activities, setting up the classroom, assisting children with hygiene routines, ensuring the safety of the children at all times, documenting student progress, communicating with parents, as well as providing guidance and training to assistant teachers.
Minimum Qualification Required:
Fluent native Mandarin Chinese speaker with standard accent
Must demonstrate the ability to teach Mandarin group lessons in immersion style
Must have prior teaching experience with young children in a classroom setting
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education/music/art/theater fields, including, but not limited to early childhood education, bilingual education, TESOL, TCSOL, Chinese language, music education, etc.
