Families love our
Ya-Ya @home
We have always been blown away by your program, but now even more impressed with your distance learning approach. The teachers do such a great job delivering the lessons via Zoom, making it so engaging and fun for the students. We all know how challenging it is to sustain student engagement through a screen for this age group, but your team does an amazing job.

FAQ
1. When does registration start?
Priority registration starts at 9am on May 26th for current families - please check your email for a private link! Registration will open to the public on June 1.
2. Where is the tuition listed?
You will see Tuition after you click the REGISTRATION link, which is private only to CURRENT families. It will be open to public on June 1.
3. What is the difference between “Dolphin”, ”Sea Turtle” and “Seahorse” class?
Your child will learn something different in each class! Each class has a similar structure, with familiar Ya-Ya routines like circle time, warm up movement, topic and vocabulary time, and then a focus activity that is unique to each class. For example, on a typical morning, the “Dolphin” class may invite a specialist to do a “show and tell” about a musical instrument, while the “Sea Turtle” class may work on an arts project, and then the “Seahorse” class has the popular and dynamic storybook reading time.
4. How many classes should I sign up for my child?
Every child is unique! We really recommend that you choose based on the time(s) that work best for your child. Some children may enjoy attending 2 or 3 classes, while for some children, one class may be enough. There is a 15-minute break in between each class and the teachers will remind the children to get up, move their bodies and walk around. You have the flexibility in making your own morning schedule that works best for your child.
5. Will my child get bored if I sign up for 2 or 3 classes?
Since each class has some variations, a unique activity, as well as its own class dynamic, your child will surely experience and discover different surprises in each class!
6. I am worried about too much screen time for my child.
As educators, we totally understand that virtual instruction cannot replace real in-person classroom instructions. However, if attending a physical program is not possible, we believe that our enriching virtual Mandarin program will not only provide the much needed continuity in Mandarin education, but also give the child the benefit of a familiar routine other than prolonged unstructured time .
7. What is the cancellation policy? Can I make up a missed class?
There will be no make-up class or cancellation for any reason.
8. Do I need to prepare any materials for the class?
Around early June, we will publish the list of “class materials” needed for each summer week.
(a) You may choose to prepare the materials at home.
(b) You can pick up (contact-less) a pack of materials at our 23 Warren location on designated dates.
(c) Mandarin Seeds can mail the materials to you for an extra “materials admin fee”.
