Fun and Creative Mandarin Time with Mandarin Seeds laoshi

Give your child the ultimate Mandarin boost with a One-on-One 30-minute online class, a special bonding time for your child and the Laoshi (teacher) to learn and connect! Our Laoshi & Me class is unlike any generic private tutoring as all our teachers are trained to teach our original Mandarin Seeds curriculum, and yet each class is also tailored for each individual child based on age, background and ability.

A typical lesson includes various components, such as interactive time, movement & warmup songs, counting & math games with puppets, and topic study time with animated slides and theme songs. FAQ

1. Can I sign up the class if my child doesn't understand Mandarin at all?

Yes! Each class will be tailored according to each student’s Mandarin background level!  All our teachers have been trained to teach our original Mandarin Seeds curriculum, but it will be customized for each individual student based on age and ability. It takes time for a child to bond with a teacher and repetition is key in learning a language. We highly recommend the “twice a week” package, especially for non-native speakers in the beginning.

2. I'm not sure if the online platform works for my child. Can I try one class first?

Yes! We offer a special one-time “Laoshi & Me Tryout” class at a discount for new students only. Find and meet your child’s favorite teacher! You may request the Tryout class registration here.
